Transcript:
A blood test may or may not be accurate depending on how it was collected, how was preserved, and how it was tested. There are certain standards and procedures when it comes to collecting blood, when it comes to preserving that blood, and when it comes to testing the blood. The blood has to be gathered in a sanitary fashion so there’s nothing else in the blood vial. It has to be preserved properly, refrigerated, and then things like that in order to maintain the sample, and then certainly it has to be tested properly. All those things have to be done together properly and scientifically reliable in order to be able to use that sample in court.
