Return to FAQ Videos

Transcript:

Miranda Rights or warnings are required in DUI cases whenever a crash is involved. Whenever a crash is involved, the law enforcement’s required to do an accident or a crash investigation first to investigate how the crash happened, and then if they suspected someone is DUI, then after the crash investigation is complete, they have to what’s called switch hats in order to do the criminal investigation, and before doing a criminal investigation for DUI, they have to read you your Miranda Rights in order to begin that DUI investigation.
